MGM MIRAGE Executives Honored by the National Association of
Women Business Owners of Southern Nevada

Las Vegas, NV (Mar. 13, 2009) – MGM MIRAGE Vice President of Corporate Diversity and Community Affairs Debra Nelson has been awarded the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) of Southern Nevada's "Women of Distinction" award.

Michelle DiTondo, Mandalay Bay Vice President of Human Resources, was a finalist for the honor among a field of 33 nominees from southern Nevada.

The awards were presented at the 11th Annual "Women of Distinction" Awards luncheon held today at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

Annually, NAWBO recognizes women in 11 categories for their contributions to the local business community. Nelson was selected for her accomplishments in the Gaming, Hospitality and Convention Services category. DiTondo was a nominee in the Human Resources and Training category.

"Not only do these honors highlight the vision and professionalism of these two very talented women, but they also reflect the unlimited potential of some 30,000 women who work at all levels of our Company," said Miriam Hammond, Senior Vice President of Corporate Human Resources for MGM MIRAGE.

About half of the entire MGM MIRAGE workforce is female.

Nelson was named MGM MIRAGE Vice President of Corporate Diversity and Community Affairs in 2005, where she has received numerous awards for corporate and community service. Under Ms. Nelson's leadership, MGM MIRAGE has been named to several national lists for its diversity best practices. The company was recognized by Black Enterprise magazine as one of the "Top 40 Companies for Diversity", named one of the "50 Best Companies for Latinas" by LATINA Style Magazine, and ranked among the "Top 50 Companies for Diversity" by DiversityInc magazine. She also led the reconstruction of MGM MIRAGE's diversity website, which subsequently was recognized among the leading Internet sites for diversity content by Diversity Best Practices and The Business Women's Network.

She previously worked at automakers DaimlerChrysler, the Chrysler Group, Mercedes-Benz USA, and Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, where she held several positions related to diversity management and communications. She developed and launched the national diversity initiative at Mercedes-Benz USA, and developed and managed the corporate philanthropy, community affairs and government relations efforts at Mercedes Benz U.S.-International. Additionally, she has held executive appointments in higher education and broadcast media.

DiTondo joined MGM MIRAGE in 2006 as Vice President of Human Resources at New York-New York. Previously, she served as the Vice President of Human Resources at Flamingo and Harrah's Las Vegas. She has held Human Resources leadership positions within the Army & Air Force Exchange Service, American Express, and First Security Bank Corporation. At First Security Bank Corporation, as Vice President of Change Management and Organizational Development, Michelle was responsible for implementing the first company-wide employee survey and introducing the regional financial services company to concepts linking employee satisfaction to customer satisfaction and retention.

For five years prior to entering the gaming industry, Michelle was a Principal Consultant with global consultant Leadership Research Institute (LRI). With LRI, Michelle provided organizational development consulting with Fortune 100 Companies including Dow Chemical, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, American Express, and Prudential. Michelle was the first female and minority elected Partner in the Leadership Research Institute.
