Catherine Siefert Named as “Rising Star” by the National Association of Women Business Owners of Southern Nevada
LAS VEGAS – March 19, 2008 – Catherine Siefert, Vice President of Hotel Operations at Treasure Island Resort & Casino (TI), has been named one of Southern Nevada’s “Rising Stars” by the National Association of Women Business Owners of Southern Nevada (NAWBO).
Annually, NAWBO honors women who have excelled in their chosen field and have made significant contributions to the community at large. Since beginning her career in 1992, Siefert has undertaken positions of increasing responsibility in hotel and casino operations. She started at TI where she was a Ticket Office Cashier and VIP Services Representative.
She was subsequently promoted to Bellagio where she held various positions such as Concierge Supervisor, Executive Slot Host, Director of Ticket Office & Showroom and Director of Guest Relations. Most recently, she served as Director of Guest Services, overseeing all front-of-house operations in the hotel division which consisted of 1,000 employees.
Currently, as TI’s Vice President of Hotel Operations, Siefert oversees all hotel division departments and the property’s 2,885 hotel rooms.
An avid supporter of education, Siefert has participated in numerous programs at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), including the Mentor Program and Executive Speaker Series. She has also served as a guest lecturer at UNLV. She is an active participant in activities of the MGM MIRAGE Voice Foundation.
Siefert earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
