MGM MIRAGE TECHNOLOGY EXPERT NAMED TO LIST OF
ELITE BUSINESSWOMEN

Las Vegas, NV (Jun. 26, 2009) – MGM MIRAGE Vice President of Information Technology (IT) Governance and Chief Information Security Officer Myrna Soto has been named one of the "25 Women of Vision, 2009" by Hispanic Business Magazine.

The magazine recently presented the award to 25 prominent women of Hispanic descent who have made significant career achievements, and who serve as role models to other businesspeople.

Soto's areas of executive responsibility at MGM MIRAGE include all facets of Information Security, IT Audit, Technology Compliance, Risk Management, PMO (Project Management Office) and Governance. She is responsible for the design and development of a comprehensive Information Security program within MGM MIRAGE.

"Myrna is an outstanding executive who plays a critical leadership role within our IT function," said Scot Campbell, MGM MIRAGE Senior Vice President of IT and Chief Information Officer. "She provides expertise that helps us discover solutions for today, while at the same time, with a very steady hand she guides technology that will take our Company well into the future."

Previously, Soto was recognized as one of the Hispanic Information Technology Executive Council's "Top 100" professionals; she was the 2008 Winner of Smart Enterprise Magazine's "IT Management Excellence Award", and in 2008 was also recognized by Hispanic Engineer & Information Technology Magazine as one of the "Most Important Hispanics in Technology". Her career has been highlighted in numerous feature and trade publications.

Prior to joining MGM MIRAGE, Soto spent 19 years in various industries working in fields ranging from Project and Program Management to Business Solutions. She joined MGM MIRAGE in 2004 as the Corporate Director of Solutions with the Mandalay Bay Resort Group. From October 2005 until January 2007, she served as Vice President of Business Solutions & Project Management Officer.

She holds a bachelor's degree from Florida International University as well as a Master of Science and a Master of Business Administration degree(s) from Nova Southeastern University, where she attended in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. She also holds a Masters Certification in Project Management from George Washington University and is a Certified Project Management Professional.

Among the other notable Hispanic women to be named to this year's list of "25 Women of Vision" are: Frances Garcia, U.S. General Accounting Office Inspector General; Christine Marie Arguello, U.S. District Court for Colorado Federal Judge; Ellen Ochoa, Johnson Space Center Deputy Director, and Ana Duarte McCarthy, Citigroup Chief Diversity Officer.

"While bleak may describe the economic condition of the nation, courageous and can-do is a more apt description of the attitude of this year's 25 outstanding Hispanic women," said Hispanic Business Magazine Editor and Publisher Jesus Chavarria. "They didn't rise to positions of leadership and responsibility by shrinking from adversity. Grit and smarts are the qualities that best define their ascendancy."

Between 1997 and 2007, the percentage of Hispanic women with four or more years of college behind them increased from 10 percent to nearly 14 percent, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The 2007 percentage for black women was 19, and for all women it was 28.

Hispanic Business Magazine is published by HispanicBusiness Media, which has as a strong tradition of honoring and recognizing Hispanic women in business, government, academia and entertainment.
