Las Vegas, NV (Oct. 8, 2009) – Today at the MGM MIRAGE Fourth Annual Community Partners Breakfast at Monte Carlo, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Murren announced the total contributions by the Company’s annual Corporate Charitable Giving Program and its Employee Voice Foundation to community support.

This annual breakfast recognizes the work of the community agencies who receive MGM MIRAGE philanthropy and Company employees who volunteer their time and talents to community service. The event also reaffirms the Company’s continuing commitment to the development of sustainable host communities where its properties operate.

Murren presented two ceremonial checks at the breakfast, attended by representatives from more than 60 Nevada agencies. The first ceremonial check in the amount of $2.4 million was presented to commemorate the Company’s 2009 corporate donations, while the second symbolic check of $4.7 million was presented to symbolize the donations in 2009 by the 55,000 employees of MGM MIRAGE through the Company’s Employee Voice Foundation. Hundreds of agencies throughout Nevada, Michigan and Mississippi have received a share of the Company’s corporate and Voice Foundation support, the lion’s share of it having gone to Las Vegas organizations.

“MGM MIRAGE has a strong commitment to help sustain the vital programs that support the greatest needs in the communities in which we conduct our business,” said Murren. “The agencies that receive these contributions not only help the underserved, but they help make our host communities a better place to live as a whole.”

The Voice Foundation is the Company’s non-profit, philanthropic entity that collects and disburses employee donations to deserving charities and causes. The Company pays all administrative costs for the Voice Foundation operations, so that employee donations can be invested entirely in the recipients of these contributions. Since its inception in 2002 the Voice Foundation has disbursed more than $30 million in employee donations.

During the event, MGM MIRAGE also presented its annual “Employee Volunteer of Year” awards to Linda Tucker, Bartender from Beau Rivage and William Smith, Food and Beverage Supervisor from Mandalay Bay. Trophies were presented to two finalists for the award: Stephanie Schmidt, Educator at the Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage and Bonnie Mankoff, Chef de Cuisine at Luxor. Each winner of the “Employee Volunteer of the Year” award will select an agency of choice to receive a $1,000 cash donation. Each finalist will receive a $250 donation for their non-profit agency of choice.

The Company also presented its “Shining Star” award to Greg Van Stone, Director of Food and Beverage at Beau Rivage. The award is given annually to the employee who not only performs community volunteerism, but is also active in enlisting other employees to volunteer in the community. The winner of the Shining Star award will also receive a $1,000 cash donation for the agency of his choice.

Murren observed that the most precious gift of all to those in need is the donation of individual time in small and large deeds alike. He led the audience in applauding the Company’s outstanding volunteers, and acknowledging the service of all employee volunteers throughout the Company who have given their personal efforts in numerous community projects above and beyond their regular job duties.
